Surf Church Porto is a PT/EN community: Portuguese and English are part of the same family. That means you can take part in Portuguese from day one, while getting to know people from various parts of the world. Language stops being a barrier and becomes a bridge.
More than a shared accent, what unites us is Jesus. Around the Bible, prayer and the table, Brazilians and non-Brazilians discover that belonging doesn't depend on where you were born, but on being welcomed as part of the home.
From the surf to the table: how we meet
Surfing is part of our story and helps build bridges with the city and the sea, but the center isn't the beach — it's Jesus. We meet on Sundays, in Matosinhos, to worship, hear the Word and spend time together. During the week, the journey continues in conversations, groups and real friendship.
You don't need to know how to surf, or to know anyone, or to master everything about the church. You just need to show up — we walk the rest together.
