Who We Are

Who We Are

Welcome to Surf Church Porto

A dynamic community, rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and inspired by the surf culture of the beautiful city of Porto, Portugal.

We are committed to living our faith authentically while reaching out to all those seeking a deeper relationship with God.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through surfing, skating, and other urban cultures in Portugal. We desire to create a space where people can grow in faith and become disciples of Christ.

HAVRUTA MODEL

Havruta is a method of study in pairs or trios that promotes honest dialogue, deep questioning, and the practical application of faith in daily life, fostering relationships among its members.

We organize weekly in-person meetings of 2–4 people, guided by devotionals, Bible reading or a book, prayer, and accountability. Aiming for the multiplication of disciples through a simple and accessible process.

Results: consistent spiritual growth, deep friendships, mutual care, and greater engagement in the church's mission. An inclusive and flexible model, easy to understand and explain.

Bilingual Services

As the first bilingual church in Portugal, we conduct our services in both Portuguese and English. This approach allows us to engage and welcome both local and international members of our community.

Faith and Surf Culture

At Surf Church Porto, faith and surf culture go hand in hand. Our Sunday services and surf sessions are opportunities to connect with the community and share the love of Christ in an authentic and vibrant way.

Core Values

Our pillars are: Bible, discipleship, family, fellowship, and friends of the beach. We are committed to living and sharing God's Word, cultivating a welcoming, supportive, and Christ-centered community.
